About Me

My name is Victoria.  I am a follower of Jesus Christ, and a lover of His creation.  I am the wife of the most incredible man in the world, and soon to be a first-time mother!  I am a devoted lover of books, and a writer of books.  Although I’ve been writing stories since the time I could remember, five have so far made it to maturity.  Two children’s stories: Terrence Moves In, and Terrence and the Thunderstorm.  Three novels: Valley, The Princess and the Prince, and The Beautiful Pursuit of Happiness.

Thanks to my dad’s old job, our family traveled from sea to shining sea when I was a little girl.  I sketched flowers at San Juan Capistrano, went to the hospital for a fractured wrist in Dallas, made friends with the campground owners in Massachusetts, and ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at the Statue of Liberty.  Hours in the car were spent filling sketch pads, playing beanie babies, and listening to audio books.  Everywhere we went, we read.  And read, and read and read.  The characters I met in these books became my friends: they taught me, they made me laugh, they helped form me.  Books have always given me pleasure indescribable.

Which is why I write books, and talk to friends about books, and think about books, and dream about books, and blog about books.  The written word is one of the most incredible gifts God has given to mankind.  And with His help, I plan on writing a lot of words in my lifetime.

  1. Always glad to come across another book lover! I absolutely love the picture as well, pretty much sums up my perfect place to read, and I imagine sums up you pretty well too. 😀

    • I’m so glad to hear from a fellow book-lover! Avid readers like you are why I write this blog. 🙂 Stories are one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind. Oh, thank you – I’m glad you like the picture! I had my sister take lots of pictures of me reading (I was at a blueberry farm) specifically for this blog. Yes, reading outside is wonderful, especially when the real-life weather fits the weather in the story you’re reading. 🙂

I'd love to hear what you thought about my post!
