In preparation for the amazing trip I’ll be taking in September, I bought a new camera. Having been through three point-and-shoots in the past few years, I decided on something a bit more sturdy. I ended up going with a Nikon Coolpix L820, and couldn’t be more happy with my choice. I’ve been a picture-taking maniac lately, when I can find the time between work and spending time with my family. It’s been so much fun!! Here are some of the pictures I’ve taken around my neighborhood over the past couple of weeks.
A black rat snake on our driveway
Neat looking bottles of water
Chocolate covered strawberries from work
A gorgeous fruit platter that my chef boss created for a gourmet dinner
White chocolate raspberry cheesecake, also from work
My sister embroidering Calvin and Hobbes
Our dog Zoe snuggled up on some blankets
A rose petal in the grass
A crazy looking bug
This was taken on our driveway, looking down toward the road.
The neighbors’ dogs watched me as I crouched, stretched, and contorted myself to get good pictures. From the looks they gave me, I think they decided that I was out of my mind.
“What a lovely thing a rose is!”
