New Camera!

In preparation for the amazing trip I’ll be taking in September, I bought a new camera.  Having been through three point-and-shoots in the past few years, I decided on something a bit more sturdy.  I ended up going with a Nikon Coolpix L820, and couldn’t be more happy with my choice.  I’ve been a picture-taking maniac lately, when I can find the time between work and spending time with my family.  It’s been so much fun!!  Here are some of the pictures I’ve taken around my neighborhood over the past couple of weeks.

The neighbors' dogs watched me as I crouched, stretched, and contorted myself to get good pictures. From the looks they gave me, I think they decided that I was out of my mind.

    • Thank you! Like I said, I’ve had a blast playing with it. I didn’t know that a camera in this price range could take such crisp pictures – but I’m so glad it does. 🙂 Thank you for taking the time to comment!!

  1. (biggrin) So you finally decided on a camera! Yay! Looks like you’ve been having a great time with it. I’m going to have to call you soon so we can talk about all the specifics. Have fun!

P.S. Is that a papaya in the middle of that fruit platter? It’s huge! I thought papayas were about the sized of a mango. 😕

    • Yes, I FINALLY decided! 😀 I actually planned on getting this one just for the trip, since it’s a good bit smaller and lighter than the DSLR I wanted. But once I started using it, it took such good quality pictures that I don’t think I’ll end up getting the DSLR at all. I’m so thankful that God helped me to find this one! I’d love to have a phone chat about it! We can email and set up a time. You’re right – most papayas are about the size of a mango. My boss used lots of the smaller papayas for other fruit platters; I’m not sure where he found the jumbo ones, but they were so cool looking!

  2. Congratulations on your new camera, my friend! I am so, so happy that you were able to purchase it. God is so good! 🙂 Your pictures are quite lovely and very creative. I can hardly wait to see the ones you will take in Europe!!!

I'd love to hear what you thought about my post!
